  • The Raymerville community located within central Markham, is unbeatable: become part of an excellent residential neighbourhood that is centrally located, and within minutes to schools, countless restaurants, cafes, shops and conveniences close by, with access to great parks and trails – it’s the perfect neighbourhood both for business and pleasure.
  • The Raymerville community is park heaven featuring five separate parks:
    • Springdale Park – this park has a wooded area, a grass field and a children’s playground
    • Cedar Valley Park is at the southern end of Springdale and is a more natural area with a stream running through it, in addition to trails and cycle paths.
    • Raybeck Park is connected by trails to both Springdale & Cedar Valley Parks, and like Springdale, Raybeck has a sports field, children’s playground and a wooded area.
    • Raymerville Woodlot is a densely treed park with trails running through it.
    • Stargell Park is a grass field with a baseball diamond and a children’s playground.
  • There are two community centres, which are close to the neighbourhood – Markham Centennial Community Centre, and Markham Village Community Centre. Centennial features a fitness centre, ice rink, swimming pool, gymnasium, outdoor skate park, bocce courts, a banquet hall and lounge. Markham Village Community Centre offers an ice rink, meeting rooms, and a community hall for events. It is located next to the Markham Village Library.
  • Ramer Wood Public Elementary School is centrally located in the area, and ranks well across schools in Ontario. High school students from the area are situated close to Markville Secondary School, which ranks number 2 of all secondary schools in Ontario.
  • There are quite a few shopping plazas in Raymerville itself. One is on the corner of 16th Avenue and Stone Mason Drive, and one on the corner of McCowan Road and Raymerville Drive. Both plazas are small and contain small businesses such as alternative health clinics, dentists, restaurants & take-aways, nail bars, hair salons, veterinary clinics and pet stores. However, the neighbourhood is very close to Markham Village Main Street, Markville Mall, the numerous plazas on Highway 7 and Unionville Main Street, offering Raymerville residents an enormous choice of places to shop.
  • While many residents use their cars to run errands and go to work, the central location of Raymerville makes it very easy to use public transport to get around Markham. It’s proximity to McCowan Road, 16th Avenue and Markham Road means that buses are frequent and convenient. Commuters to the east of the neighbourhood have Markham Village GO station nearby within a 5 or 10-minute walk. In the west of the neighbourhood, Centennial GO station is more convenient. Commuting to downtown Toronto usually takes from 20 – 40 minutes.
